Ecological beds

What characteristics make a bed ecological?
first and foremost it needs to meet functional criteria:

  • An ecological bed needs to have good ergonomic properties, i.e. it must have good mattress support, it must be the right height from the ground (not too low but not too high). With the thickness of the mattress, it will be about 40 / 45 cm, or the height of a standard chair; this means that the structure – without the mattress – will be between 25 and 30 cm.
  • An ecological bed should not be built with polluting materials (paints, glues, plastics) but with natural materials, first of all wood.
  • ecological beds must be practical and functional , we avoid using screws and metal parts that could wear out over time, making the joints, and therefore the furniture itself, more fragile. Our furniture is designed to be assembled and disassembled many times without compromising the strength and reliability of the joints.
  • On the other hand, we do not believe that the presence of metal parts in a bed cause sleep disturbances. In fact, it is not true that sleeping in a metal bed causes alterations in the electromagnetic balance of the body.
  • An ecological bed needs to be robust and durable, built with good quality materials, that do not become altered or deteriorate over time: in short, it must be a good product from all points of view, corresponding to all the criteria for a piece of ecological furniture.
