Natural wood beds

The adjective natural to describe the word – wood – seems superfluous, but in reality it is not: on the market there are products sold as – made of wood – but in reality they are not.

Wooden beds are often products made from chipboard or other composite materials, only covered with a very thin layer of wood, in some cases even this final layer is fake, made with resins or even paper disguised as wood.
Natural wood beds are therefore products made exclusively using this raw material, the surface of the product is treated with natural products, usually of vegetable origin (oil) or animal (wax).
All of the semi-finished products we use are made of solid wood or plywood (several layers of wood glued together).

We use wood for all our furniture because we believe it is the best material for creating comfortable, cosy objects for everyday use.
Wood is the natural material par excellence, and the bed is the most intimate and personal object in a home.
Wooden beds have ancient, traditional origins, recalling the archetype of this type of product.
A wooden bed is a welcoming and friendly, warm and comfortable product; in fact a material itself can be comfortable because in our imagination it is connected to the idea of pleasure and well-being.

TOTEM’s natural wood beds are on display in Milan at the showroom in via Pier Lombardo 6.
